Pocket PC Timer

We've all been there: we're working through our weekly review and have started processing our inbox.

"That's an @Errand, and that's going on my @Work list and... oh that will only take two minutes so I best do it now."

Off we go to do that quick two minute task which ends up taking ten, fifteen, or even thirty minutes.

The Pocket PC Timer is set to two minutes by default and will countdown the seconds before buzzing to let you know that time is up. It doesn't stop there though, as the secondary elapsed time counter will continue adding up the minutes you spend on the task, allowing you to track exactly how long your estimated two-minute task took you.

The timer can be set at any value between 1 second and 59 minutes and 59 seconds. The elapsed time counter will continue counting once the main timer has counted down to zero, and can record a lot more than 59 minutes and 59 seconds elapsed time for those really poor estimates!

This timer comes complete with big onscreen buttons to start (and stop) the timer as well as resetting the clock to your chosen time limit to allow for efficient usage (sometimes a stylus is just too fiddly).

Smartphone users aren't left out in the cold and there's a version of the Pocket PC Timer created specially for the Smartphone (and other Windows Mobile devices without a touchscreen -- or just for people who don't want a touchscreen timer)

The Pocket PC Timer uses the .NET Framework version 2. You can download this from Microsoft's website if you do not already have it installed.

The touchscreen-based version is on the left-hand side, while the right-hand side shows the Smartphone version.
